Sodium is a new mod aimed at improving the performance of the game, significantly increasing the FPS in Minecraft. Sodium is a kind of analogue of the popular Optifine mod, although it does not yet perform all the functions of Optifine.
Mod Sodium was created to improve performance in minecraft. Increases FPS, chunk loading speed and many small improvements. Also gives smooth lighting for water and some blocks, improved biome transition for blocks and water.
The mod is a free and open source rendering engine for minecraft, it solves a number of problems by increasing the performance of the game, it is developed for the mod loader for Fabric and supports working with mods. Recently there was an unofficial version of the mod for Forge.
